How do you use Wix to build a website?

Choose how to start

You can create a new Wix site with the AI Website Builder or begin with a template. The AI flow uses your site and business details to generate a starting design; a template gives you a designed starting point to customize in the editor.

Build and customize

Create or sign in to your Wix account, set up your business dashboard, and select Design Site. Follow the AI prompts or choose a template, then review the generated content, pages, and design before publishing.

Use the editor to update text, images, sections, pages, and site settings. Add business features such as a store, bookings, forms, or a blog only when they fit your site’s purpose.

Before publishing

Preview the site on desktop and mobile, check that contact details and calls to action are correct, and publish when the content is ready. A custom domain and plan may be needed for features such as connecting your own domain.
