The Wix Blog feature itself is free to add to your website, and you can publish posts even on a free Wix plan, with paid plans unlocking extras like a custom domain and ad removal.
Adding the Blog
From your site dashboard or the editor, add Wix Blog at no charge. Once it is installed, you get a complete publishing tool with a post editor, a customizable blog feed, and reader engagement options. You can sign up and explore it at www.wix.com.
What You Get at No Cost
- Unlimited posts with rich text, images, and video
- Categories and tags for organizing content
- Scheduling so posts go live automatically
- Basic SEO settings for titles, descriptions, and URLs
Free vs. Paid Experience
Using the blog on a free plan means your site shows Wix branding and uses a Wix subdomain. Upgrading to a Premium plan lets you:
- Connect your own custom domain
- Remove Wix ads
- Add more storage and advanced capabilities
Bottom Line
The blog tool does not carry a separate fee. You only pay if you choose a Premium plan for a more professional setup, making it easy to start writing right away.
