How can I add a simple event calendar widget to a Wix page with AI Components?

Use a calendar-style widget for a focused schedule
If visitors need a quick view of a small, mostly fixed schedule, AI Components: Custom Widgets can add a calendar-style frontend to a Wix page. It is useful for classes, workshops, office hours, pop-up dates, or a short campaign schedule where the page owner controls the entries.
Create the widget in AI Components
Add AI Components from the Wix Editor Add Elements panel and ask for a compact monthly calendar or date-list widget. Include the exact dates, event names, short descriptions, link labels, and destination URLs. Ask for clear previous and next controls only if the schedule needs more than one view. Preview it at desktop and mobile widths, then refine the spacing, contrast, and button labels before publishing.
For a source of truth with ticketing or registration, use the Wix Events event list instead. Wix also supports calendars for events, services, and classes. The custom widget is most useful when the presentation needs to match a campaign or landing-page design and the schedule is small enough to maintain intentionally.
Design the schedule around one visitor task
Keep each date easy to scan. Show the day, title, time or time zone, location or online label, and one action such as View details or Register. Use a short list for a handful of dates; use a month view only when visitors genuinely need to compare dates. Link every action to the Wix page or service that owns the full details.
Know the frontend limits
AI Components creates a visible frontend widget. It does not connect the calendar to Wix Events, read a live CMS collection, sync Google Calendar, accept registrations, reserve seats, store submissions, create member accounts, or run server-side workflows. If a date changes, update the widget content and its links, or use Wix Events/CMS for data that must stay current automatically.
When this approach fits
Choose this approach when you want a branded, lightweight schedule component inside an existing Wix page and can maintain a small set of entries. Use Wix Events, Bookings, or CMS when the calendar must manage availability, registrations, recurring events, permissions, or live data. Test every date link on the published page so the widget remains a helpful front door rather than a second system of record.
